Coaching Award Categories
There are four coaching awards categories, each which recognise the scope and range of talent we have within our sport in Scotland. Click on the links for nomination criteria and the application form.
Coaches may be operating on a paid or a voluntary basis, the main criteria is that they are great at what they do.
More than willing helpers
There are three volunteer categories to recognise the people who help to make our sport accessible for all, sometimes with little thanks and definitely no pay! You can say thanks however and nominate deserving event crew, club helpers, administrators or committee members, the list is not exhaustive, in the following categories. Click on the links below for nomination criteria and the application form.
Note: as volunteers don’t get paid for their work, staff members are not elibilbe to win awards, but you can nominate Board members. For all individual awards you may not nominate yourself, no matter how valid your case.
Club and Event of the Year
The club and event awards are the most hotly contested of all the awards and again you can nominate your own club and/or event as long as you can demonstrate why your club or event deserves to win. Click on the links below for nomination criteria and the application form for the following categories.
There is also an additional ‘Uniquely Scottish’ category:
Was there an event which had you spellbound from the moment you stepped on course, did you love the commentary, were the prizes the best you have ever received? The nominating criteria is simple for this category so please let us know your favourite.
Athlete of the Year
The triathlonscotland athlete of the year award recognises a Scottish athlete who has contributed the most to the performance development of the sport. This could be by personal achievements (i.e. significant race wins) or by personal gains (i.e. the biggest improvement in sporting performance). NOTE: The winner will be determined by the triathlonscotland performance management team. Please don't submit nominations for this category, there is no application form.
Additional information
