Championship Races
Each year, triathlonscotland works in conjunction with its member clubs to run a championship series. There are eight championship events: Sprint triathlon; Standard Triathlon; Middle Distance Triathlon; Youth Triathlon; Schools Triathlon; Cross Triathlon; Duathlon and Aquathlon.
To be eligible to win a Scottish national championship title (e.g. Scottish Cross Triathlon Champion or Scottish Youth Champion, Age 9-10) participants must be a member of triathlonscotland. To find out how to join, please click here. The only exception to this is the Scottish Schools Championship where winners do not have to be members of triathlonscotland.
Championship events comprise both an elite and an age group level race. Clubs are invited to tender to host a national championship provided they can meet the necessary criteria, which includes: a suitable personnel structure; event marketing; race entry structure; quality facilities and much more.

Bid for a Championship event
