Clubs are at the heart of triathlon in Scotland as we believe well organised and pro-active clubs can provide a stimulating and supportive base for athletes to get involved and train, which in turn enhances the development of our sport.
triathlonscotland have a number of key staff who are on hand to support clubs at any stage of their development. This includes:
To receive support clubs need to affiliate to us and as well as our support, affiliation provides public liability insurance for clubs. Please click here for further details on the cover provided.
Please download the affiliation form on the left-hand side. We have also included a Club Welfare Officer form that needs to be completed by all clubs. This form nominates a person within the club who will be responsible for any welfare updates from the Governing Body or issues that may arise with the club. For more information on this role, please visit the Welfare section of our website.
The costs for affiliation for 2012 are :
| Clubs with fewer than 40 members | £40 |
| Clubs with between 40 and 100 members | £100 |
| Clubs with more than 100 members | £150 |
As well as our support, there are a number of other organisations that support clubs, namely, local sport development departments (Please visit local council information pages), local sports councils and active schools networks. There are also other national agencies that provide support for clubs (see partners page) and there are various online resources. Sportscotland, our national sports agency, have developed an online resource that can be viewed by visiting http://www.helpforclubs.org.uk.
