Member Awards 2010 Nominate Now!

The triathlonscotland and British Triathlon awards are back, only bigger and better than before.

Award Categories
The number of award categories has grown this year, in recognition of the scope and range of excellent coaching activity being delivered nationwide, to triathletes young and old. It is now possible to nominate coaches operating at the following levels:-

Childrens Coach
Participation Coach
Performance-Development Coach
High Performance Coach
Young Coach (U21)

Coaches may be operating on a paid or a voluntary basis, the main criteria is that they are great at what they do.

More than willing helpers
Dont forget to recognise your key volunteers. Whether they are event crew, club helpers, administrators or committee members, they almost certainly dont get thanked enough. Like it says on the tin, volunteers dont get paid for their work (so staff dont count) but Board members are now eligible.

Please note that for all individual awards you may not nominate yourself, no matter how valid your case!

Who runs the best club or the best event?
The Club and event awards are the most hotly contested of all the BTF awards and on this occasion you can nominate your own set up, if you can demonstrate on the specific nomination forms, why your club or event deserves to win.

Vote now, or vote later, but please vote

We have opened nominations early this year to allow for greater spontaneity and more opportunity to register your appreciation for the coaches, volunteers, clubs and events that you rate most, but dont miss the deadline.

Nominations are open now and will close at 12 noon on Monday 6th September.

Scottish winners in each category will be put forward for consideration for BTF awards together with category winners from Wales and the 9 English regions.

Scottish Award winners will be announced on Sunday 10th October 2010.

In addition to the above awards which form part of the BTF awards structure, there will also be uniquely Scottish Awards for the most enjoyable event of the year - we will take nominations from competitors, volunteers or spectators - and Junior Performer of the Year, selected by the National Performance Coach.

Vote for your most enjoyable event

These are presented at the BTF Annual Dinner in November, to which all local winners are invited.

Please vote for your local heros!
