Membership FAQ

What is a Home Nation and which should I join?

The Home Nations are Triathlon Scotland, Triathlon England and Welsh Triathlon and we are all members of the British Triathlon Federation.

People who were born in Scotland or live in Scotland usually join Triathlon Scotland, however if you are Scottish and live outside of Scotland, you can still join Triathlon Scotland to represent your Home Nation.

How much does membership to Triathlon Scotland cost?

Membership prices can be found on the Membership Categories page of our website.

Do I have to be a member of Triathlon Scotland to take part in an event?

No, everyone is welcome to take part in our permitted events, but you may have to pay more to take part to ensure you are insured. Ultimate and Core members receive an entry discount on most races across Britain.

If you are thinking about taking part in a race, and are actively training, then you should consider taking out Ultimate or Core membership. These membership packages give you access to a race licence which entitles you to a race entry discount at most permitted events, insurance for training and racing, plus our other membership benefits.

The full list of benefits can be found on the Membership Offers page of our website.

What are the different membership packages?

Details of the membership packages we provide can be found on the Membership Categories page of our website.

You will receive a confirmation email with your membership number and your electronic membership card. If you have chosen a membership with a race licence (Ultimate or Core), and you have your race licence number, you can start entering events, why not have a look at all of the events here!
