Volunteers Required – Montrose and Forfar Triathlons11th May 2018 | Written by Carolyn Reid
Organisers of the Montrose and Forfar Triathlon events are appealing for volunteers from the local community to help at both events to ensure their success.
The Montrose Triathlon takes place on Sunday, 3 June 2018 with Forfar a few weeks later on Sunday, 22 July 2018. Both events are full, with 240 people expected to take part on the day. The events are based at two of Angus Alive’s superb facilities – Montrose Sports Centre and Forfar Community Campus. From there, participants will swim, bike and run their way around the two towns.
No experience is necessary – full details of your role will be provided on the day. The event volunteers are vital to the success of the event – simply it cannot run without them! The volunteers make an enormous difference to the participant’s and spectator’s event experience.
There are a variety of roles available from directing participants round the course, helping at registration, to handing out the all-important finish medals! In return for your support, food and refreshments will be provided courtesy of sponsors Scotmid.
Planning for the events is well under way, and it would be great to know that you want to come and help us at the event. Volunteers will be required from approximately 0930 to 1530 on the day of each event.
Example Roles available:
- Registration / Help Desk
- Finish / Medals
- Transition Marshalls
- Swim lane counters
- Water Station marshals
- Bike and Run marshals
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer at either event please get in touch by e-mailing email@example.com.
