Weekend preview 12-13 August

11th Aug 2017 | Written by Gemma Simpson

This weekend Julie Nimmo and Beth Potter are in action at ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup Wuustwezel in Belgium. Fergus Roberts was also on the start list, however has decided to rest after picking up a small knee injury during training this week.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

Potter, straight from racing the IAAF World Athletics Championships 10,000m last Saturday (where she finished 21st) and Nimmo will both be looking to use the race as a step towards Commonwealth Games selection.  We hope they both have a great race!

Our Scottish Aquathlon Champion, Natalie Milne will also be racing, this time at the Embrun French Grand Prix. For more information about the sprint event, click here.  Also this weekend, Ritchie Nicholls will be racing IRONMAN Hamburg.

At home on Sunday the Kelso Sprint and Novice Triathlons takes place alongside the first ever Irvine Sprint Triathlon, hosted by Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club. Watch out for those pond crocs!

And finally it will be the 5th year of Perth Triathlon Club’s Relay Wild Triathlon event with prizes up for grabs for the winning male, female and mixed teams.

Have a great weekend!
