Weekend preview 30 September – 1 October

29th Sep 2017 | Written by Carolyn Reid

This weekend we head to Meigle in Blairgowrie to host the first Triathlon Scotland Academy camp of the winter. The academy forms part of British Triathlons framework for talent development and includes 21 young, talented Scottish Triathletes. After being selected last week, the camp will be a great opportunity to get to know the athletes and an announcement of the full squad should be expected early next week. So keep an eye on our website and social media!

After a few busy months of competition we have a relatively quiet racing schedule in Scotland this weekend. However, more than a hundred TriStar and Youth Triathlets will head to the GRC Fauldhouse Youth Aquathlon taking place on Sunday in West Lothian. The race is the penultimate event in the Triathlon Scotland Legends Ranking Series with the final youth aquathlon event being the Stirling Aquathlon on Sunday 8th October.

In addition to the Aquathlon, the Wick Junior Triathlon will be taking place on Sunday. The event will see primary pupils compete in teams while secondary pupils have the option to compete individually or in a team of three.

Good luck to everyone racing!
