Preview: Ibiza ETU Multisport European Championships

The Great Britain elite squad has been confirmed with two Scots included for the trip to the Ibiza ETU Multisport European Championships starting on Saturday.

From 20th to 28th October, British elite and Age Group athletes will be in force on the tourist island for a festival of aquathlon, duathlon, aquabike and triathlon.  George Goodwin and Alice Hector will compete for GBR in the Middle Distance Triathlon on Saturday 27 October.

The multisport format has proven popular at World Championship level, and the European equivalent has attracted a large British entry of over 1300 athletes. The various events take place at different venues around the island.

Great Britain elite team; ETU Multisport European Championships; 20-28 October:

Duathlon: Phil Wylie (snr), Georgina Scwiening (snr)
Aquathlon: Hannah Kitchen (snr), Nathan Tweedie (U23), Sam Dickinson (U23), Chloe Pollard (U23)
Cross Triathlon: Doug Hall & Nicole Walters (snr)
Middle distance: George Goodwin, Tom Davis, Alice Hector, Suzie Richards, Sarah Lewis

In the Age Group events, there are 72 people from Scotland on the start list.  Good luck to everyone competing!
