Further afield it is the 23rd Xterra World Championships on Sunday in Maui (Hawaii) including 75 professional triathletes including Lesley Paterson and more than 700 age group athletes from 46 countries!

The race combines a 1.5-kilometer (1-mile) swim, a 32-kilometer mountain bike that climbs 3,500 feet up and down the lower slopes of the West Maui Mountains, and a 10.5-kilometer (6.5-miles) trail run that traverses forest trails, and beach sand.

At home we only have one race, the University of Dundee Aquathlon taking place on Saturday, possibly our last aquathlon until March!

Good luck to all racing!
