Major Event  (National Championships and Qualifiers) Hosting Opportunities

British Triathlon and the Home Nations annually promote a programme of Age-Group Major Events, consisting of British and Home Nation Championships as well as GB Age-Group Team Qualification events along with Elite and Paratriathlon racing opportunities. Bidding for the 2026 Championships and Qualifiers has now opened.

British Triathlon and the Home Nations invite Event Organisers of all sizes who permit their events through the Home Nation Associations, to consider submitting bids to host these events. British Triathlon will review all submissions and appoint major events accordingly. The guidance document attached below outlines the bidding process and detail the scoring and selection procedure to give you an idea of what is required for 2026.
