National Triathlon Series

What is the National Triathlon Series?

The National Triathlon Series (NTS) recognises and rewards consistent participation and performance across the season in our permitted events. Members gain points while participating in NTS events and these points can eventually lead to an age group prize.

We also have prizes for our affiliated triathlon adult and junior clubs, where Triathlon Scotland members score points based on participation only, so get your friends involved!

There are two series, one for adults (17+) and one for youths (8-16). You must complete at least 2 events to be eligible for the series prizes with your best 3 score for adults and best 4 scores for youths making your individual total.

 

2026 National Triathlon Series Events 

Our 2025 National Triathlon Series have now been confirmed, and the events list is available to view below. Where an event has multiple distance options or formats, only the identified race will be included in the series and will be eligible for collecting points.

 

What’s changed from the 2025 Series?

  • We have added a few more events to the adult series to make the events more accessible to everyone across Scotland.
  • In the youth individual series, there will be no focus events, and no 1.5 x point on offer.
  • In the adult individual series, there will be no focus events, and no double points on offer.
  • In the adult club series, the Scottish National Team Relay Championships will be a focus event, and 10 points on offer to eligible clubs that cross the finish line.

 

Am I eligible?

Firstly, to be eligible for your results to count, you (the person taking part in the event) must be a Core or Ultimate member of Triathlon Scotland on the day of the event you wish to gain points at.  If you are not a member, you can join today here:

Remember: You must choose a membership which includes a race licence (Core or Ultimate). Triathlon Scotland Essential or Supporter members do not hold a race licence and are therefore not eligible to take part.

If you (the person taking part in the event) do not have a valid membership before you start a series race, your result for that race will not be awarded any series points and it will not count towards the National Triathlon Series standings.

In order to earn points for your club, you must ensure that the correct club is listed on your membership card. You can check what club is listed on your membership by logging in to your account. If your club is incorrect or missing, please contact membership@triathlonscotland.org and we can update this for you.
