MORAY FIRTH TRIATHLON AT GORDONSTOUN

Moray Firth Triathlon Club held their annual triathlon event on Sunday 20th September. For the 10th consecutive year, Gordonstoun School provided the venue, and their grounds made for a stunning backdrop.

The weather stayed dry, but a strong westerly wind was described as “brutal” by many of the 76 competitors, some of whom had travelled from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth to take part.

Patrick Eyre from the host club Moray Firth Triathlon took the overall win in an excellent time despite the conditions. He said,” I’ve competed in many triathlons, but this was my first ever win! Gordonstoun was a lovely setting for it and I would recommend it for both experienced and first-time triathletes.”

Moray Firth Triathlon Club Chair, Colin McGregor said, “Our triathlon has established itself as a favourite for many and this is due to the fantastic setting that Gordonstoun School offers. We are delighted that our partnership with the school has reached its 10th anniversary and I’d like to thank the Head, staff and pupils for their help in putting on a successful event.”
