British Triathlon is a Federation, whose members are the three Home Nation’s Associations of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon.
British Triathlon is responsible for matters such as the Great Britain Elite, Paratriathlon and Age Group Teams, British and International Events, Anti-Doping and International Representation. British Triathlon also manages a number of services which are shared with the three Home Nations.

sportscotland is the national agency for sport. It is the lead agency for the development of sport in Scotland, investing expertise, time and public money in developing a world class sporting system at all levels. It is a non-departmental public body, responsible through ministers to the Scottish Parliament.
The sportscotland institute of sport in Stirling is the high performance arm of sportscotland. Triathlon receives support services for triathletes on its performance programme, such as physiotherapy and strength & conditioning.
The University of Stirling is Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence and its campus is home to the Triathlon Scotland Central Office and Scotland’s triathlon performance training centre.
Triathlon is one of five sports on the University’s International Sports Scholarship Programme, enabling students to combine academic study with triathlon training and competition.
Stirling’s scenic campus is situated in the heart of Scotland and is also home to the National Swimming Academy and High Performance Sports Science and Sports Medicine Facilities.
Winning Students is Scotland’s national sports scholarship programme for student athletes. Managed by the University of Stirling and funded by the Scottish Funding Council, more than 120 high performance student athletes in member colleges and universities across the country are supported with scholarships of up to £5,500 each year.
Triathlon is a core sport on the programme, with students put forward for selection by Triathlon Scotland. Winning Students is an education-led programme which aims to support student athletes along the performance pathway in their sport and enhance the capability of the further and higher education sectors to support and cater for the needs of talented student athletes as flexibly as possible.
The sportscotland institute of sport, the high performance arm of sportscotland, provides high performance expertise to the Triathlon Scotland performance programme triathletes.
