TRI in the Park

The Glasgow 2018 European Championships takes place from 2 to 12 August and in celebration of this inaugural sporting event, Glasgow 2018, in partnership with Triathlon Scotland are delighted to announce that alongside the elite and age group triathlon competitions, a festival of participation will also take place at Strathclyde Park on Sunday 12 August, known as Tri in the Park! The event will provide short, have a go events under the ‘GO TRI’ brand, which is the name of the introductory level of the sport, offering affordable and easy access events to local people. As well as short distance individual and family triathlon events (swim-bike-run) there will be duathlon (run-bike-run), aquathlon (swim-run) and aquabike (swim-bike) races. Children aged 11-14 will be able to take part in specially created TriStars 2 and TriStars 3 triathlon races. We are also supporting the Accenture Mixed Team Challenge which is a national series of races inspiring people to get out of the office and into their kit. Participants in our sprint event can take part as a mixed gender team in one of two categories, forming either a Relay team or a Tribe.
