Triathlon Scotland Disciplinary Rules and Cases
Triathlon Scotland is responsible for the management of disciplinary cases within the sport of triathlon.
We want to ensure that our sport continues to be fair, fun, safe and inclusive. However, sometimes complaints are raised and need to be investigated. For the most part complaints can be dealt with informally and amicably in accordance with our complaints policy.
Where complaints are of a more serious nature they are dealt with through our disciplinary policies.
The purpose of these Disciplinary Rules and Procedures is to ensure justice in disciplinary proceedings and to provide a framework within which decisions can be made in a fair, consistent, independent and expeditious manner and in accordance with the requirements of natural justice.
If you have a concern or wish to raise a complaint this can be done in the first instance to the Chief Executive Officer or the President of Triathlon Scotland stating clearly the nature of the complaint and your full contact details.
Current Disciplinary Sanctions
In the interests of transparency and awareness, Triathlon Scotland is able to publish decisions of disciplinary decisions. As a general rule, outcomes will be published, but Triathlon Scotland can elect, at its sole discretion, not to publish an outcome where it considers it inappropriate to do so. Triathlon Scotland will not be obliged to publish or make available any further details of any particular disciplinary matter. The summary outcome will not be published before the full process has completed.
