Winter Grand Tour | Virtual Scottish National Championships

19th Nov 2025 | Written by Pamela Sneddon

We are excited to announce our partnership with the Winter Grand Tour, working alongside event lead Henry Wright, and raising money for Big Moose and Surfers Against Sewage.

This year’s edition will double as the Virtual Scottish National Championship, featuring six Zwift rides, two 5km runs, and one pool swim. Athletes will be scored on their best five results across the nine available events.

We’re also hoping to see a Scottish club crowned champions in the Club Competition! The title is currently held by Perth Triathlon Club. In the club competition, clubs also have the opportunity to get points in the B division with their athletes 5th-8th highest points counting towards their total.

Running Rounds

These can be completed any time during the calendar months stated. Register a result by email with any of the following: parkrun result* (preferred) or other race link (measured course), stopwatch-timed track session (track sessions must be timed by someone else – ideally a run leader/timed club session and not rely on GPS). Any free-runs should avoid tight loops for this reason. A PowerOf10 link may be requested.

*Please send your result link, not Strava data, or Strava “best 5km” data as these are often unreliable

December 2025 : 5km
March 2026 : 5km

Swim Round

This can be completed any time in February 2026. 1km pool swim. Timed by someone else. In-water start. Ideally club session/small groups with a trusted timer. Results will be scrutinised and can be challenged by club captains.

Important Information

  • Body Weight – Please check your weight figure is correct in Zwift. This is your clothed, pre-racing, fuelled/hydrated weight. Checks will be made later in the competition.
  • Zwift Power – riders must be signed up to Zwift Power This links your Zwift account to ZP for results. You need to add the letters “WGT” somewhere after your name so we can track your results post-event. You only need to do this once.
  • Race Cats A-D / AG banding – ALL abilities and ages are welcome. Please read the race rules carefully. As this is an AG-ranked series there will be mass starts.
  • Sign up to Zwift events using the Companion App – links will be circulated in the week before the event, and on social media
  • Heart Rate – Please wear a HR sensor and link via Bluetooth or ANT+
