Welcome to the 2023 Scottish National Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships at Lochore Meadows Country Park

Sunday 11th June 2023
The Lochore Sprint Triathlon 2023 while incorporating the Scottish Sprint Championships is an ideal introductory event for those new to open water swim events. The swim distance of 750 metres, the enclosed nature of Lochore and the good safety cover offer a friendly swim environment. The cycle course with all left turns is as safe as any event and the run, entirely within the country park is mostly on paths and is virtually traffic free.
As this involves open water swimming in Scotland wetsuits are required!
Detailed pre race information including a race briefing will be emailed in the week before the event.

Distances:
Swim : 750m (open water)
Cycle : 20km
Run : 5km

This year The Scottish National Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships are accompanied by a Tristars Open Water Aquathlon. It is an ideal introductory event for those new to open water swim events. The enclosed nature of Lochore Meadows Country Park and the good safety cover offer a friendly swim environment for the Aquathon. The run route is mostly on paths within the park. In addition, great facilities exist at the park with many attractions for non competing family supporters.

Distances:
Tristars 1 (9-10 yrs):- Swim: 100m, Run: 1200m
Tristars 2 (11-12 yrs):- Swim: 200m, Run: 1600m
Tristars 3 (13-14 yrs):- Swim: 300m, Run: 2000m
Youths (15-16 yrs):- Swim: 300m, Run: 2000m
