Event Information

The Shetland Triathlon Club are holding a super-sprint distance triathlon aimed at beginners and is promoted as a 'Novice' triathlon. It is to be held at the North Mainland Leisure Centre, Shetland and will consist of a 400m swim in a 16.2m, 3 lane rural swimming pool, a 10km cycle leg heading north out of the village on a clearly marked & stewarded route and turning point and finally a 2.5km run on an 'out-and-back' format within the village on pavement. This will be the first event hosted by the club since COVID restrictions were in place and is an important event for the club, as it helps encourage people to take part in an event that is often seen as intimidating.
