Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond sponsors the Scottish National Aquathlon Champs

Triathlon Scotland are delighted to announce Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond as the new title sponsor of the 2025 Scottish National Aquathlon Championships hosted by Lomond Swimming & Triathlon Club.

Based just across the loch from the start line at Balloch, Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond is part of the oldest and largest boat club in the world, offering members the opportunity to enjoy truly maintenance-free and hassle-free boating experiences.  Through membership of Freedom our members have access to a fleet of over 6,000 luxury boats worldwide. You will find Freedom at over 420 premium locations throughout Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand, with new locations being added almost every month.

Mike Lally from Glasgow, co-owner of Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond, said “We are thrilled to be partnering with Triathlon Scotland in sponsoring the National Aquathlon Championships to be held on the loch in late July.  We look forward to meeting competitors, their friends and families on the day. I’m especially excited to offer a free Membership Experience to all Triathlon members – see the attached QR code for details. We would be delighted to welcome them up to the club any time.  Good luck to all the competitors and hope the training goes well!”

Steve Paige, CEO, Triathlon Scotland, “I’m really pleased with this partnership with the team at Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond and throughout our discussions it’s been clear that we share the same values and that mutual love of the outdoors.  Having been to visit the team at their base their boats look amazing and what a great place to be on the shores of Loch Lomond.  Many thanks to Mike and Ashley for their support and I hope to see members making use of the offer from Mike”.

FBCLL welcomes a broad mix of members: from first-time boaters to seasoned skippers and former boat-owners, from young families to corporate groups, and from wildlife lovers to water sports enthusiasts. Anyone who loves the water and water-related activities is embraced as a member at FBCLL.  There is also a strong social side to our member community.

When the Freedom concept was launched in 1989 in the USA, it was considered revolutionary. This new offering presented an exciting new alternative to boat ownership that opened the waterways to both newcomers and seasoned boaters. As an RYA Training centre, our two-day Powerboat Level 2 course allows even those who are brand new to boating to build confidence and gain the necessary skills to captain a boat safely.

FBCLL offers members unlimited training and familiarisation on the loch to promote responsible boating. We uphold strong environmental values and are recognised for our respectful community.  To find out more you can access their socials on the following channels:
