The Wee Beltie – Olympic Distance Triathlon

Welcome to most wonderful triathlon. Join us in south-west Scotland for 17th Crossmichael Triathlon. The Beltie Weekend is a new festival of triathlon. Duke Events aim to cater for all ages and abilities and will offer you a Go Tri (come and try triathlon event) in an off-road location; a series of kids’ events, off road at age appropriate distances (The Baby Beltie); a Standard Distance Triathlon (The Wee Beltie) and a Middle-Distance Triathlon (The Big Beltie). There will be relay team opportunities in both adult triathlon events. Why the Beltie name you may ask. Well the beautiful area we are in is the home of the famous Belted Galloway breed of cow which is recognised the world over for it’s outstanding good looks and cool looking jumper. We are in the Galloway Glen of the Water of Ken and Dee, a stunningly scenic area of South-West Scotland. The area is recognised as a hidden gem often missed by the tourist tracks to the Highlands and Central Scotland. This is your chance to race in a truly wonderful place.
