Performance Programme Members
Triathlon Scotland takes the wellbeing and protection of our young athletes very seriously and is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment within our sport. Triathlon Scotland has a number of policies and procedures that support this area and ask all athletes and their parents to familiarise themselves with them:
Triathlon Scotland recognises that all adults involved in the coaching or supervision of children and young people have a duty of care to ensure that their wellbeing is protected. This duty extends to the prevention of bullying, discrimination and all kinds of abuse (physical, sexual emotional or neglect). All children and young people have a right to be safe when they participate in our performance programme. All staff and volunteers working in the Triathlon Scotland Performance Programme are appropriate trained and qualified, they are subject to an enhanced disclosure check (PVGs) and they will also receive Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport (CWPS) training. All coaches also sign a Code of Conduct which can be viewed using the links below.
Our Athletes are asked to sign their own Code of Conduct which can be found in the links below, beyond this Triathlon Scotland believes that all our athletes have the following rights:
